Welcome!!!

Hello and thank you for visiting the official site of Team Muskoka. This site is in development so please be patient. We will constantly work to refine it and make it better.

A little about us. We're just a few guys that use our computers spare time to crunch numbers for SETI@Home, in the search for extraterrestrial life. Most of us live in, or are originally from the Muskoka region, which is approximately a 2 hour drive north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Currently, we are one of the fastest climbing teams in the over all stats for SETI@Home in Canada.

Every member of our Team Muskoka would like to have more members associated with Muskoka to join our club.

Here's how you do it:

1) First you need to download the BOINC software from this link: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/

2) Next, after you have installed BOINC, you need to configure it to work with SETI@Home. When you are going through the set up process, it will ask you for a URL. This is the URL you need to enter: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu

3) Now you are all set up to crunch numbers for SETI@Home. But what about joining our Team Muskoka?

4) To join Team Muskoka, you need to click on this link: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/ Under Community, click on 'Teams'. In the search area, type in Team Muskoka and click on 'search'. Once the result is displayed, click on the 'Team Muskoka' name. Now you will be looking at Team Muskoka stats. Above the stats there will be displayed 'Join this team' with a clickable 'Join' next to it. Click on the 'Join' and you will be a member of our team. You're all done! Thank you for joining our team.

Donations!

Any and All donations are greatly appreciated and used to directly support keeping this website online, or to benefit SETI.

You can donate by going to the donation section which you can find under the community tab of your Navigation block.

Thanks and Happy Number Crunching

BOINC TEAM LEADERS FORUM
InformationFlightcon writes " Welcome to the BOINC TEAM LEADERS FORUM This forum has been created as a neutral meeting place for BOINC Team Founders, Leaders and Activists to chat and share ideas about Team Building on any BOINC project. If you are involved in any way with your team, come and register and join in. You do NOT have to be a team founder to be involved in this forum. Anyone who helps their team in any way is welcome here! This forum is for anyone involved in a boinc team, not just team founders!

This Forum is also a place where a NEW TEAM FOUNDER can come and get help to set up a successful team and advice on running a team. You can ask questions and get help on how to make your BOINC team page look good and help making nice advertising banners for your team and signatures for your BOINC message board profile. You can also get advice on how to recruit new members for your team and how to keep your team active and promote BOINC in your community or country.

If you are involved in a successful team, then all that I ask is that you share with other's the valuable things that you have learned from being a part of that team.

The goal of this forum is to help and progress all BOINC projects in any way we can by sharing ideas and helping other teams to succeed as well as your own team.

So if you would like some help with your team to make it successful and gain from the advice of other TEAM FOUNDERS, LEADERS AND ACTIVISTS, come and join in the chat. Please do register.
